City of Heroes was first launched in North America on April 28, 2004. City of Heroes has one of the best story lines in most of the mmorpg's in the industry. I was amazed when i tried this elegant game out for the first time, the quests are simply amazing and easy to understand. There has been 12 expansions or Issues up to date free of charge and free download. I will show you a list here below on the name of the issue and the order that they have been released in.

Issue 1: Through the Looking Glass, Increased the level cap of players and added 2 new zones.

Issue 2: Shadows of the Past, Declared a few new zones as well as new skills and equipment including, capes, auras, re specification and badges for completing missions & quests.

Issue 3: A Council of War, This issue gave players the right to choose from 2 new archetype classes, the Peacebringer and the Warshade classes.

Issue 4: Coliseum, Probably one of the most anticipated issues yet, it introduced the elite player vrs player system, or PvP.

Issue 5: A Forest of Dread, This issue introduced a few new zones, and allowed players to use a new skill called archery.

Issue 6: Along Came a Spider, PvP zones came in as well as shared content between City of Villains players and City of Heroes players alike.

Issue 7: Destiny Manifest, This issue was declared to present a new Player vrs Player zone.

Issue 8: To Protect and Serve, Presented a new system that offered Veteran Rewards for players who have been subscribed to the game for years.

Issue 9: Breakthrough, Another one of the most anticipated issues, brings in 2 new systems, the Auction System as well as the Invention System.

Issue 10: Invasion, Probably one of the least anticipated, designers and programmers revamped the artwork of the ritki invasion as well as the ritki villain group.

Issue 11: A Stitch in Time, This issue came with 2 new systems, 2 power sets as well as
focusing on time travel.

Issue 12: Midnight Hour, Said to release a Midnight Squad group that is used for time travel as well as improvements to game play and other things that are wrong.

That pretty much concludes the list of Issues/Expansions that have been released to date as well as to my knowledge.

City of Heroes has had many awards for its dramatic and insane game play. I agree with every reward they have acquired and think they should even get more than that. This game is one of the best, and i hope it continues to grow the way it has been. In Order to play City of Heroes you have to pay a monthly fee of $14.99, there are other options that can cut the monthly fee down to as much as $11.95 for a yearly subscription.
