City of Villains is a mmorpg or massive multi player online role playing game based on comic genre and was released on October 31st 2005. City of Villains is actually an expansion to City Of Heroes but it is totally different. Currency is different, characters and classes as well. There is new PvP action in City of Villains that allow you to battle off the Heroes from City of Heroes. I ask myself why people would choose villains over heroes, it's simple people are tired of being the good guy in all the mmorpgs that have come out.

There was PvP in City of Heroes prior to City of Villains but it was pretty much limited to what you could do. With the new implemented Player vrs Player system players can fight each other as well as have more available landscape to battle on.

The 4 battle grounds that are available are:
1)Bloody Bay
2)Sirens Call
3)Warburg
4)Recluse's Victory

You are able to make bases with one another in these battle grounds in order to fight off each other in the combat that is currently going on. There are many items obtained and i will explain a few now. There are Inspirations, Enhancements and Salvage. These items can be gathered by exploring the content of City of Villains. There is also an invention system where you can make even more powerful invention enhancements, invention inspirations and invention salvage, as well as Invention Recipes and Invention Powers.

When you create a character in City of Villains you will notice that you can choose a primary and secondary class or power. You can pick what costume you wish to wear as well as write a little information about yourself. You can make something up or you can role play to the fullest extent, tell about where you originated, and what your powers are.
