Lineage 2's first launch date was October 1st 2003 in south Korea. It had 610,918 users when it came out. When playing Lineage 2 like most games it requires a monthly fee of $15 USD. There are many races and classes to choose from. There are humans, elves, dark elves, dwarves, kamael and orcs. People can pick fighters or mystics from the start and branch off to the later classes once they progress through the world of Lineage 2.

The currency used in Lineage 2 is Lineage 2 Adena, like other games you have to obtain your currency by questing, farming or just grouping in the gigantic landscape of Lineage 2. There is also PvP in Lineage 2, PvP stands for Player Vrs Player. PvP Combat can be fun at times but can also be very annoying if someone keeps killing you when you don't even want to fight back. That is why there is an implemented system that when players attack you and you don't fight back, they receive negative consequences which most of the time stops players when they attack if you don't fight back.

Every 6 months or so Lineage 2 conducts chronicles aka patches like expansions but their are totally free. They come with a new story line, monsters and even equipment. Players must download the patch in order to play on the new Chronicle. Level caps also increase sometimes when new chronicles are released.

Lineage has 2 different regions there are Aden and Elmore there are many towns in each region that you can travel to to get quests, upgrade items skills and even trade with other players throughout the world of Lineage 2. Lineage 2 uses an anti cheat program called Gameguard. Gamguard can detect if a player is cheating, botting, macroing and loads of more cheats that can be created or used. When a player is caught Gamguard will automatically shut down there game client.
