Pirates of The Burning Sea was released on January 22nd, 2008 by Sony Online Entertainment. This game is what we have been waiting for in the game industry it focuses on the Caribbean and is placed in the time of 1720. Fight battles on your ship against your admiring enemies who wish that same fate for you. The Economy is simply amazing, the currency used is Pirates of The Burning Sea Doubloons, or Doubloons. Trade with thousands of players worldwide, or keep everything for yourself!

Pirates of The Burning Sea has been in development since 2002, Flying Lab Software has had there hands full as well as Sony Online Entertainment but it is finally out and going very well. There are 4 Careers in Pirates of The Burning Sea i will list them with a little information about each below.

Naval Officer: An officer who directs its follower to aid them in combat
Privateer: The underdog that is the first in battle and utilizes its capabilities to destroy smaller ships Freetrader: Evasive and manipulative in combat, trades goods and gathers resources
Pirate: Jack of all trades able to take command of any ships that he or she wants

There are also 4 factions that you can choose from while creating your character, Britain, France, Spain and the Pirates. You are only able to have 1 faction per server, so you would not be able to create for example 4 characters with 4 different factions, you would have to only pick 1, unless you were to go to another server or delete all your previous characters that were there.

Also there are different fighting styles that you can learn, but you can only choose 1, there are 3. The 3 Combat styles are dirty fighting, fencing and florentine. I figure that most people out there would use the dirty fighting style technique, the name gives it away and is more vulnerable to players who are just starting the game.

There is also available player vrs player combat in Pirates of The Burning Sea, where you earn points to advanced to other ranks, to have extra abilities to use in your next player vrs player fight.

Seeing as there are over 55 ships in the game, the developers have made the list of the 5 ships you can start with off the bat, they are the Stripped, Courier, Heavy, Sleek and Mastercraft. Its amazing how many ships you can be in Pirates of The Burning Sea, it goes to show you how much effort went in to the game as well as realizing the graphics so initialized and ongoing.
