Vanguard: Saga of Heroes was released on January 30th, 2007 in North America. The developers are Sony Online Entertainment, the own many games that you may already know, including everquest and some other big games out there. Vanguard requires a monthly fee of $14.99/month in order to even log in to create your character or avatar. There is also a $29.99 monthly fee if you would like a package of all of Sony Online Entertainment's mmorpg's. I have played Vanguard: Saga of Heroes in beta mode, and it's graphics are quite amazing, the engine they used made graphics initialize on even the slowest computer. The Game play and every aspect about it is awesome. There are only 15 classes at the momeny that you are able to choose from they include, Protective Fighter, Offensive Fighter, Defensive Spellcaster, Offensive Spellcaster. Each of those branch off into 3 and 4 other classes i will include a list of these as well.

Protective Fighter: Warrior/Paladin/Dread Knight
Offensive Fighter: Ranger/Rogue/Monk/Bard
Defensive Spellcaster: Cleric/Shaman/Disciple/Blood Mage
Offensive Spellcaster: Sorcerer/Druid/Psionicist/Necromancer

That is the list of classes and how the classes branch off to even stronger and better classes.

Island Thestra: There are 7 races on this island which are, Thestran Humans, High Elves, Dwarves, Lesser Giants, Halflings, Vulmane's and Varanjar's.

Island Kojan: There are 6 races on this island which are, Kojani Humans, Half-Elves, Wood Elves, Raki, Goblins and Orcs.

Island Qalia: There are 6 races on this island which are, Qaliathari Humans, Mordebi Humans, Dark Elves, Gnomes, Kurashasa and Varanthari.

That is all the classes and the islands that they start on.

In Vanguard: Saga of Heroes you can earn many types of factions or diplomacy. You do this by doing quests or missions and gaining faction with the type of NPC that you did that quest or mission for. Or simply slaughtering hordes of creatures of a certain clan to obtain faction that way as well. Like all other mmorpgs there are loads of items, equipment, spells and skills that can be obtained all over the world of Vanguard. The type of currency used in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes is Vanguard Gold. Gold can be obtained by fighting various types of creatures on a farming spree or simply purchasing Vanguard Gold over the internet. Many people now days who do not have as much time as others who play purchase loads of Vanguard Gold over the internet due to the fact that they want to catch up with others.
